- Permits interested teachers to do research and obtain Ph.D.
- Provides necessary infrastructure available in the college for research activities
- Permits/encourages teachers to participate / attend seminars / symposis / workshop etc.
Nearly 35% of teachers are engaged in research activities in the college. The University provides financial support to research/on going projects.
It is a matter of pride that thirty two teachers are Ph.D degree holders and four are M.Phil holders and seven are doing research leading to Ph.D under FIP out of 72 permanenet teachers in the college.
There are on going research projects sanctioned by the UGC. Teachers are publishing research papers regularly in national and internatinal journals. Consultancy services are provided.
National and International lebel linkages / collaborations have been established through the University with:
- Baba Atomic Research Centre, Trombay
- Indian Space Research Organization, Bangalore
- Defence Research and Development Organization
- Department of Biotechnology of Govt. of India
- Geological Survey of India
- Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan
Many teachers are guiding students for Ph.D and M.Phil degrees. At present Ph.D student and M.Phil students are registered under various faculty.
